I forgot, I forgot how much I loved being in the water surrounded by God’s creatures. Battling C19 8 times in the past 5 years has stolen massive chunks of my life. I forgot what I love to do for myself. This time in French Polynesia has helped me remember my hobbies. 🤿🐠☀️ and filled my soul. Maveric & I haven’t laughed this hard since 2020. I am so grateful to have experienced some of the best snorkeling in the world. We will never forget our time in The Coral Gardens! 🤿 And yes! That’s a selfie with a SHARK!🦈

In the middle of ordinary life, love can give you a fairy tale. For the first time in decades, I framed photos of us and placed them on my dresser. At 52 years old, after not seriously dating anyone for over 17 years, I truly thought I had finally found my destiny. We met randomly on a train in Alaska — neither of us looking — and somehow it felt like a romance straight out of a storybook. I thought I had found my person. We laughed. We traveled. We never fought. We loved so many of the same things. We had so much fun together, and we never fought. We just had so much fun together. We just worked even though we lived on opposite sides of the planet, we had so much in common. A love I hadn’t experienced in over 20 years. At 55 years old I am not going to wait another 17 years to date. Sometimes the hardest part of love is learning how to hold on to the memories while letting go of what was. ❤️ Quiet reflection remind us that every chapter of our story helps shape who we become. But one fairy tale ending doesn’t mean the story is over.
