I've been ill for the last two months after a rather nasty accident, so have been housebound. However, as the weather is fast deteriorating in the UK, I thought it's my last chance to visit the seaside before it gets too nippy. Here you can see me visiting one of the renowned Martello towers on the Essex coastline. They were built between 1804 and 1812 by the British government to defend England's coast were Napolean's forces to invade. What did you do over the weekend? Let me know in the comments! . . #martellotower #jaywick #jaywicksands #beaches #englandbeaches #napoleonicwar

☀️ Snatching the last dose of British sunshine before the autumn chill settles in! I spent a marvellous weekend in Clacton-on-Sea in Essex to get my seaside fix before the weather turns too nippy. It is only an hour and a half on the train from London, making it an easy trip to squeeze in before summer fully disappears. Here are the highlights from my reel: - Catching the sun on the beach - Walking along the coast - Exploring Clacton's thrilling pier - Riding the ferris wheel for the spectacular views How was your weekend? Leave a comment and give this post a like if you love a trip to the beach! . . #clacton #clactononsea #clactonpier #clactonbeach #britishseaside #seaside #visitessex #essexcoast #daytripsfromlondon #londondaytrip #ferriswheel #ukseaside #essexlife #seasidebeach
