Archie Griffin Coco of Lake Carnico in Carlisle, KY passed away Sunday February 4, 2024. He is survived by his family: Jennifer & Robin Coco, Katie Harp, and Riley Coco. Archie came to live at Lake Carnico in December 2020. Immediately, he fell head over tail in love with his family, especially Miss Riley Coco. Archie and Riley were inseparable. On any given day you could find them snuggling, watching TV, fishing, going for boat rides, or riding on the side by side around the lake together. During Archie’s first summer at Lake Carnico he befriended many neighbors that we know he cherished until the end. He was loved by many and always knew where to go for a treat or some afternoon snuggles. He was known as the Carnico neighborhood dog. Archie’s most favorite activity was taking boat rides. We learned very quickly that we could not leave him behind. He would run along the edge of the lake and chase us until we’d pull over to pick him up. When he was on the boat, he would stand right up front with the wind in his fur. This quickly got him dubbed as the Lake Carnico Director of Water Patrol. To honor Archie’s legacy of love and kindness we’re asking people to support NCAWS (Nicholas County Animal Welfare Society). Monetary donations, dog food, gift cards, and supplies can be dropped off at the Nicholas County YMCA. Donations will be accepted through Wednesday February 21, 2024. Donation receipts available upon request.#ARCHIE #ARCHIEGRIFFIN #RIP
