This year, @Good Housekeeping named @Surf City USA one of the best beach getaways, and after spending 48 hours here with our toddler... we totally get the hype. 🌊☀️ It was the perfect mix of beach vacation, family fun, amazing food, and zero stress—which is RARE when you’re traveling with a toddler. 🤣 There was a little bit of everything: beach time, great food, fun spots for kids to be kids, and plenty of time for the whole family to simply relax and soak in the classic California beach vibes. Here were our family’s favorite finds: 🏨 Favorite Place to Stay: The Waterfront Beach Resort, A Hilton Hotel. The perfect home base with pool time, beach access, and plenty of space to unwind. We loved watching the sunset from our balcony! 👶 Connor’s Favorite Stop: The massive beachfront accessible playground! We also loved popping into the Huntington Beach Public Library to cool off for a bit. There is the cutest pirate ship themed reading space for little ones! 🥣 Favorite Way to Start the Day: Banzai Bowls for breakfast, followed by coffee or strawberry matcha from IYKYK! Coffee (and trust me... don’t skip the vintage claw machines next door!). 🍽️ Favorite Places to Eat: Nardò Italian (some of the best pasta we’ve had in the U.S. 🤌), Primecut Taqueria for tacos (try their famous surf & turf potato!), Duke’s for fresh seafood and sunset views, and Jolie and the Belle for yummy craft cocktails, dinner and rooftop vibes. 🌿 Favorite Places to Explore: Wandering through the charming Old World Village and hiking the peaceful trails at Bolsa Chica Ecological Reserve. ⛵ Favorite Experience: Seeing Huntington Beach from a whole new perspective on a private harbor cruise. 😌 Favorite Part: Slowing down.
