The Southern Cross Cricket Player Awards for the 2025 U-Pro CIPL were presented on Wednesday night! 🏅 Kyle Hyauiason took home the SCC Best Bowler, with 21 wickets across his 10 games. Conceding just 3.2 runs per game, he was integral to the Phoenix finishing the season in top spot. Brock Winkler took out both the SCC Best Batter and SCC MVP award. A key member of the premiership-winning Falcons, his 222 runs lead the competition and, often in partnership with Shane Devoy, pushed the Falcons over the line in several games. Add to that 21 wickets, conceding just 15 runs in 10 games, resulting in an average game contribution of over 20. Finally, our SCC Team of the Year recognises players across the competition who consistently displayed their ability to be game-breakers and match-winners. We have some incredible talent in the ACT, which was evident throughout this year’s U-Pro CIPL. Congratulations to everyone selected! ⭐️ That brings the 2025 U-Pro CIPL to a close. Thank you to our sponsors U-Pro and Southern Cross Cricket, to our partner centres Weston Indoor Sports and Action Indoor Sports Kambah, to Andy and Preston for umpiring every round this season, and to Billy Floros and the ICACT Committee for their organisation of this year’s competition. Thank you also to our team captains for organising and managing each team. Thank you to all the families, parents, guardians, friends and support networks that enable this competition to occur — we are so grateful for you! And of course, thank you to the players themselves, for making the tournament what it is — exciting, challenging, and so much fun. Please continue to support our great centres — Weston, Kambah and Kaleen Indoor Sports — and tell your friends to play indoor cricket! For those looking for more competitive matches, make sure to register for the Swamp Bash, which is on in just 2 weeks time — Gators Indoor Cricket for more information. Good luck to the Gators in this weekend’s Tamworth Indoor Sports Centre Premier Series, and to our Australian players, staff and umpire travelling to Sri Lanka for the Indoor Cricket World Cup in just over 5 weeks time 🌏 We hope to see many of you for ACT representative team trials over the summer, and once again in 2026 for CIPL | 03. We promise to do everything we can to make it bigger and better than ever! 💥🏏 #indoorcricket #cricket
