I wish I could show that 19-year-old kid the end of this video. The one whose life changed on July 3, 2011. The one learning how to stand with help, move a walker, and fight for a little more independence after a C5–C6 spinal cord injury. I wish he could hear his kids laughing. I wish he could see those little hands holding onto his walker. Feel the weight of his baby against his chest. Know that one day, four little people would call him Dad. But back then, I had to work with what was in front of me. One attempt. One frustrating day. One small thing I could do that I couldn’t do before. There have been fifteen years of work behind these moments. There are still hard days. I still use a wheelchair. I’m still figuring things out. And I have a life I’m grateful I get to live. If you’re watching this from the beginning of your own struggle, I know “keep going” can feel like a lot to ask. You’re allowed to grieve. You’re allowed to need help. You don’t have to figure out the rest of your life today. There may be people you haven’t met yet who will become your whole world. Those little faces in this video are mine. ❤️ Your story isn’t over. #SpinalCordInjury #LifeAfterInjury #WheelchairDad #AdaptiveParenting #KeepGoing

POV: YOU ARE A GIRL DAD #girldadtiktok #dad #AdaptiveParenting #dadsoftiktok

All of this just to get out of the car. And I’ll do it again tomorrow. Living with a spinal cord injury means working through challenges before the rest of your day even starts. Putting the chair together. Getting it positioned. Making the transfer. Every step takes effort. There was a time I couldn’t imagine doing this on my own. Now it’s part of my routine. That took years of learning, adapting, and trying again. I’ve got kids to raise, a wife to come home to, and a whole lot of life left to live. So I keep finding a way. Every. Single. Day. 💪 #NoExcuses #SpinergyWheels #SpinalCordInjuryAwareness #wheelchairlife
