Tone deaf fear based marketing by a company that uses words like empowerment, inclusive & shame free on their website. So let’s settle it 🧠 Here’s what the evidence actually says: 🔬 2024: Researchers did find metals, including arsenic, in tampons. That part’s true. ❓ What the ad left out: the study’s own lead author said it was unclear whether metals in tampons are contributing to any negative health effects. 🧪 2026: The FDA conducted research: tampons soaked in acidified water at 50°C for 24 hours, designed to pull out far more metal than normal use ever would. 📉 Result: the amount actually released was up to 100x lower than the 2024 study found. The study concludes there is negligible toxicological concern from the presence of metals in tamon materials. ✅ Bottom line: based on the best current evidence, there is no established health risk from metals in tampons. Does this area deserve more research and standards? YES Does the current evidence justify the fear?
