Vulnerable post incoming… Today marks 7 years since the day I got Willa, my Airstream trailer. And what a ride it’s been. ❤️ As I tried to figure out what to say, I kept thinking about how our adventure together has been symbolic of the twists and turns my own life has taken along the way. When I first got Willa, I was married. Trips looked different then: a “happy” couple and their pup, hitting the road. I didn’t sit in the driver’s seat as much, and if I’m being honest, I felt like something was missing. A few years later, when my relationship of 17 years ended, I felt this need to escape. So I packed up Willa and drove from Oregon to Florida for sunshine and much-needed family time. There were challenges (read: actual tornadoes 😳), but also memories with my parents that I’ll be eternally grateful for. And somewhere along the way, I learned something I desperately needed to learn: I would be okay on my own. I didn’t know if I could tow a 22-foot trailer across the country and back. But I told myself I could…and I did. I was finally getting my confidence back. Willa later became my home for four months while my new house was being built. She gave my pup and me a familiar little space during chapter of transition. But maaaaaan was I ready for a laundry room and full kitchen when those four months were over. 😂 Since then, Willa has become home base for countless adventures with girlfriends (and maybe an occasional male companion 🙃), hours of girl chats, life planning, cry-laughs, and memories I’ll never forget. The road hasn’t always been smooth, but it’s been full of bucket-list adventures, wildlife, friendship, and growth. In a way, Willa represents the chapter of my life when I found my confidence again. One road trip at a time. Mile by mile. Seven years, countless adventures, and a few lost rivets later… there’s still nowhere I’d rather be. Happy 7th gotcha day, Willa. 🩵 Here’s to wherever the road takes us next. #airstream #rvlife

This is what I call continuing education! I took a chocolate-making class at Creo Chocolate in Portland and learned how cacao beans go from bean to bar…downing a billion samples along the way. We all found it to be entertaining and fun! Save this for your next Portland food experience! HBD, Stacey ! I hope your next trip around the sun is just as sweet! #creochocolate @Creo Chocolate #portlandoregon #portlandfood
