No house? No mortgage? No massive pension pot? No partner? No kids? What I think people forget is… those things aren't MY version of success. I've been house sitting full time for over 3 years and I often joke that I'm going to do this forever. I can live a lovely life on less than £600 a month while exploring, meeting people and trying new things. I don't want a mortgage or to live within the same four walls. I don't want to get married or have kids. I'm not interested in hustling to reach £10k months. There's obviously nothing wrong with wanting these things, but it wouldn't make ME happy…. …Ok the £10k per month might! But not if it meant doing a job I hated. Or a job that meant I had to squeeze the rest of my life into the scraps of time left over. I'm very happy. Actually, I'm the happiest I've ever been. To me, that is success. To you, it might look completely different. And that's ok. These comments don't put me off sharing my life on the internet — quite the opposite. We're so influenced by the people around us, our environments and the society we grew up in, that it can be hard to see that other paths are even possible. That's why I'll keep sharing.
