My area of the country got hit real hard with hurricane Helene at the end of seotember and there are still many people struggling. Many people have lost loved ones, pets, a farm, a business, their home, belongings, car, etc. The least we can do in times like this is Volunteer our time to help in some way those in need. My father-in-law lost everything and his apartment including his car. Fortunately he’s staying with my sister and is safe. I heard on TikTok about an opportunity to be of service in a hard to reach area away from the City Of Asheville which hasn’t gotten a lot of attention so I drove up there and helped provide meals to people. There is a ministry that did the cooking and three other volunteers and I helped with that and helped hand out meals to people who came by. My fellow volunteers were the sweetest sweetest people some of which had losses of tgeir own also. Community coming together and supporting each other helps build a stronger friendlier, more unified and spiritual community. Wherever you are if you can be of service to your community it will make it a better place. #love#helene#wncstrong#community#newfriends
