Old BMW tint removal turned into a nightmare 😵‍💫 The steamer removed only the top dyed layer, but the glue layer stayed completely stuck to the rear glass. Heat gun didn’t help either. At this point there are basically only 2 options: — trash bag method — or scraping everything and risking the defroster lines 🥲 The glue itself is not the scary part. The worst thing is when the adhesive layer stays attached together with the film layer. That’s when removal becomes a disaster. Trash bag method was the only thing that actually worked here.
