Did you know there are grave sites underneath the street and sidewalk outside El Campo Santo Cemetery in Old Town San Diego? I came to Old Town to see the Día de los Muertos decorations and stopped by the cemetery first. That’s when I noticed the small “grave site” markers in the pavement. The cemetery once extended beyond the walls you see today, and some of the original burial sites are now underneath San Diego Avenue and the surrounding sidewalk. Exploring Old Town San Diego made us hungry, so me and Coco stopped at Café Coyote for some Mexican food! We ordered beef fajitas and carne asada fries, and just look at all that food!
