@timotheosxc, is a convert and probably sincere, but has a lot to learn still. He was handed four councils: Ephesus, Constantinople II, Constantinople III, Nicaea II. He answered three others. Zero for four. His own test: Vatican I's "universal, ordinary, immediate" jurisdiction before 1054. Passed: 1. IMMEDIATE. Ephesus 431 deposes the bishop of Constantinople, "compelled thereto by the canons and by the letter of... Coelestine, the Roman bishop." The legate: Peter "lives and judges in his successors." At Chalcedon, his own council, Leo's legates strip the patriarch of Alexandria with "Peter, the rock and foundation of the Catholic Church." 2. UNIVERSAL. Sardica, canon 3: a bishop condemned anywhere, "write to Julius, the bishop of Rome." Ratified by Trullo, canon 2. 3. ORDINARY. Pope Julius, 341: "the custom has been for word to be written first to us." 4. Constantinople III: "Peter spoke through Agatho." Vatican I takes its key sentence from Ephesus. His script (CCC 424, Matthew 18, canon 28) is the internet checklist, and every line stops one page too early. CCC 552: "built on Peter." CCC 881: binding and loosing "united to its head." CCC 553: the keys, to Peter alone. Canon 28: Chalcedon begged Leo, "honour our decision by your assent." Leo annulled it "by the blessed Apostle Peter's authority." @realbenmichael: granted, Vigilius was held and dragged from an altar. His words: "even if you hold me captive, you cannot make the blessed Apostle Peter captive." His release depended on recognising the council (Hefele). Nicaea II threw out Hieria because the Pope of Rome had not cooperated, "as the custom is in Councils." Nobody jails a man whose signature is optional. Your turn: one council that says "honor only." One canon that says "first among equals." One council received over Rome's final no. The Catholic Church was right. Sources, all public: NPNF2 vol. 14 (the seven councils, Sardica, Trullo); Leo, Letters 98, 104, 105; Athanasius, Defence 35; Catechism 424, 552, 553, 881; Vatican I, Pastor Aeternus 2; Hefele, History of the Councils IV; Mendham, The Seventh General Council (1850). No hate. Just read the councils. rp from @roman.orthodoxy

In The ancient Languages of Both Greek and Aramaic ..Both these languages have No Word equivalent for "Cousin". And so the Greek substitutes the word Brother(Adelphos) as the closest possible term . Even today in English we Call People "Bro" or "Brother" , This does not make them Our Real Uterine brothers Obviously 😁.
