A few years ago, I met an older gentleman in Etowah, Tennessee. We struck up a conversation about life, love, and the roads we travel. After telling me his story, he looked at me and said something I'll never forget... "Son, I was married 18 years. We started out as lovers... and by the end of it, we didn't even know each other." Then he smiled and said, "Write that in a song." So I did. That conversation became "Parting as Strangers." It's one of those songs that came straight from a real-life moment, and I hope it captures the heartache of watching two people drift apart when they once meant everything to each other. Here's a little snippet of the song. Now I need your opinion... 🎶 Should I release the full video version? Would you rather hear it as a stripped-down acoustic recording first? Let me know what you think in the comments. If this song speaks to you, share it with someone who loves real, honest country songwriting. #PartingAsStrangers #OriginalSong #CountryMusic #Songwriter #RealStories

Some songs are written from imagination... and then there are songs that are born from real life. "One More Sunday" is one of those songs. This song was inspired by a precious lady from our church named Kathy, who is now home with Jesus. As she entered the final days of her journey here on earth, one of her greatest prayers was simple: "Lord, would You give me one more Sunday?" And in His goodness and mercy... He did. Watching her faith, her love for Jesus, and the peace she carried through her final days left a mark on my heart that I'll never forget. I knew her story deserved to be told. I originally wrote this song for Kathy and her family. Later, I took it to Nashville, where I had the privilege of working with the incredibly talented songwriter @Merelyjoeleathers Together we polished the song and shaped it into the finished version it is today, while keeping the heart of Kathy's story at the center of every lyric. Today I wanted to share a little snippet of "One More Sunday." I pray that when you hear it, you're reminded that every Sunday is a gift, every opportunity to worship is a blessing, and none of us are promised tomorrow. If this short clip speaks to you, let me know in the comments. I'd love to hear your thoughts. ❤️ And if you knew Kathy, I hope this song honors her beautiful legacy of faith and reminds you that we'll see her again. #OneMoreSunday #OriginalMusic #Faith #CountryGospel #Songwriter
