This is Rusty my SWFL wild caught veiled chameleon, normally I’m against wild caught pets but being that I caught him in Florida means he’s invasive so I couldn’t release him back into the wild, and I have to say chameleon care is not for beginners 😅 they have very strict requirements and husbandry and a whole different experience from keeping snakes #reptiles #florida #chameleon #vieledchameleon #herping

Curse you evil banjo man @Noah Kahan ! This is my grandfather that I lost in 2017 to HIV and he is a big reason why I’m so into reptiles, so growing up he would come down to Florida from Tennessee to take me to the Everglades or gator land, some of my greatest memories are of those trips and although he was terrified of snakes he would still support my passion for them, one year he took me to Everglades holiday park where I got to meet the gator boys (it was my favorite show at the time) and I got to meet one of my idols Mike Easter who was the snake expert on the show, he also took me to gatorland where we got to wrestle alligators and I got to hold a ton of pythons and boas. And hearing this song brings me back to those times #reptiles #florida #noahkahan #drawyouout #hivawareness

I’ve found the other 3 venomous snakes found in SWFL but still convinced that dusky Pygmy rattlesnakes are a psyop #reptiles #florida #herping #pygmyrattlesnake #snakes
