Island girl who grew up in dive shops, running around barefoot and living in a wooden house. It’s my first time ever somewhere like this, and I did not know how to act. The TV had my name on it. Chocolate and champagne waiting in the room. And at breakfast there was a woman making baleadas, because yes, we are in Honduras, and that is the detail that got me. Best sleep of my life, one very bougie balcony, and a view that is honestly chefs kiss. The best part was off that beach though. I thought something was wrong with this fish. I grew up diving these islands but on my last dive before leaving back to Madrid I saw it and was confused why it had these spikes off its fin. Turns out it was an African pámpano, my dive master from West Bay Divers freaked out and got so excited! Bittersweet feeling going back to Madrid but I’m happy I got in the water a lot this trip.
