Checkrd-in with God and getting and understanding of being burned out. People see the grind of a man holding it all together, but they don't always see the cost. Burnout creeps in when you've been pouring everything into your family and future, but the wait on God’s promises feels endless. You get bone-tired of carrying everyone else’s needs while your own tank is empty. Just like Elijah, we all hit that wall where the wait feels like a dry desert and you just want to quit. But God doesn't expect you to fake being invincible; He meets you right in your weariness. Resting isn't quitting; it’s how God renews your strength. If you're burnt out on the waiting today, trust His timing, let Him replenish you, and keep getting better to be better. 🙏🏾 #oneminutewithgod #checkinwithgod #burnedout #trustgod #restinhim

🚛 This is what I get to come home to. ❤️ My wife makes sure I feel her love through her actions, her embrace, and the food she has waiting for me. Before I even sit down to eat, she’s already fed something in my heart. She lets me know I was missed. As a veteran who has served in war, I can’t fully explain how refreshing it feels to be welcomed home with that kind of love. Every single time. And I don’t take it for granted. Knowing this love is waiting helps me push through those long days behind the wheel. It gives me another reason to stay patient, make good decisions, and get back home safely. @Arleisham Thank you for giving me so much to come home to. Full plate. Full heart. Grateful husband. ❤️ #loveinaction #cominghometoyou #truckerslife #gratefulhusband #nextlevellove

We check people for weapons before they enter big events, but how often do we pat down our thoughts? Before I give a thought room to settle in, I need to ask: Where did you come from? Why are you here? What are you carrying? Some thoughts show up claiming to protect me, but they’ve got pride in one pocket, insecurity in the other, and jealousy waiting outside. Even a thought that sounds good deserves a closer look. Is it here to build something, or could it damage my peace, my relationships, or someone I love? A thought showing up doesn’t mean I have to give it access. Second Corinthians 10:5 speaks about casting down imaginations and taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ. That reminds me to stop and examine a thought before letting it direct me. Sometimes imagination takes something that hasn’t happened, builds a whole story around it, and asks us to respond as if it’s already a fact. That’s when I need to check what came through the door with that thought: fear, resentment, or assumptions? Having a thought doesn’t make it true, and feeling something doesn’t mean I need to act on it. Some thoughts need to sit in the holding room while I pray, gain perspective, or talk honestly with a therapist or a trusted, wise brother. I need to give myself enough distance to see what I’m carrying before releasing it through words or actions I can’t take back. And here’s my vulnerable part: I still have work to do here. I’m still learning to pause, examine what I’m feeling, and recognize when an old hurt is trying to speak through a new situation. I won’t catch every thought at the door, but I can keep practicing. I can choose which thoughts I feed and which ones I surrender to God. Today’s walk reminded me that getting better includes taking responsibility for what I allow to guide me. Keep checking those thoughts at the door. Keep Getting Better to Be Better. 💪🏾 #letstakeawalk #checkyourthoughts #keepgettingbetter #nextlevellessons
