Tucker & Co TRX set lunch and all-day happy hour Tucker & Co at The Exchange TRX was packed on the weekend, and when we looked a little closer, we soon discovered why. They have a solid value-for-money set lunch. RM37++ (RM42.92) gets you house-baked focaccia, soup of the day, your choice of main, and a drink. The sets are available daily, including weekends and public holidays, from 11am to 2pm. Too good not to try. Cauliflower was the soup of the day on our visit; thick, creamy and flavourful. The drink was ginger and lemon, lightly sweetened. You can choose from a handful of mains with fish, chicken, beef and vegetarian choices. I had the Chicken Piccata, which was a very generous portion. It looked like two whole chicken breasts to me - more than I could finish. The seasoning was deliberately mild, which I prefer to something heavily seasoned. You can always add salt and pepper, but you can't do much when a dish is over-seasoned. My tip: ask for their smoky salt and a lemon wedge if you want to boost the flavour. Hubby had the Pappardelle with Beef Bolognese and was very happy with it. Again, an ample serving. Tucker & Co also has 20% off cocktails and wine all day, every day, including both wine by-the-glass and bottle. One of the better value wine-by-the-glass pours we’ve had recently was the Celler de Capçanes Mas Picosa Blanco 2023 (RM26.43 after the 20% discount and including the ++), an easy-drinking Spanish white Grenache. So basically, we had two three-course meals and a glass of wine, in a very comfortable and convenient setting, for just over RM100. Not bad for a lunch date!
