We love @eatswithevey 💞Repost 💞 Brand new Indigenous-owned fry bread spot in Old Town Scottsdale. We saw @azfoodie went the other day so we had to give it a try. The place is really cute and trendy. Menu is an elevated take on dishes inspired by Indigenous communities. They have a good selection of cocktails. We didn’t order any though because it was a bit early in the day lol. I didn’t know what to expect when we first got there, but the food was surprisingly good! Frybread was soft and fluffy. Our favorite though was the Bison Asada Tacos. The meat flavor was perfection. They have other items like Bison Burger, Bison Filet, etc that we would love to try the next time we’re there. Very happy to have a new amazing spot in Old Town! 📍 @thefrybreadlounge

Indigenize your palate at @thefrybreadlounge, the only Native-owned eatery in Old Town Scottsdale! A member of the Tohono O’Odham Nation, chef Darryl Montana worked alongside “Sioux Chef” Sean Sherman at Minneapolis’ renowned Owamni before returning home to bring his Indigenous culinary point of view back to Arizona. The Local First Arizona food team stopped by The Frybread Lounge to get the experience ourselves! For drinks, we ordered the white blueberry tea, pinon coffee, and prickly pear refresher. For food, we ordered the bison burger, blue corn mush, a frybread flight (they hold frybread-making tryouts, so you know the frybread is the real deal), and of course…tepary beans - the climate-smart crop we are highlighting all month long!
