How many of everything do you need for a dorm room? ⤵️ It's one of the most common questions we get. And the answer is always…it depends. But here's what we tell every family. Sheets - 2 sets. Because laundry will happen less often than you think. Or hope. Stick with 100% cotton sheets that will sleep cooler than microfiber. Towels - 2 to 3. Quick-dry towels are the best choice for dorms - we especially like the ones with hanging loops so they have a real chance of actually drying. Moving bags - 6 to 8 for most. Go 10 or more if they are bringing a lot of clothing or if you’re flying so you can double up when checking bags. Our favorites are the VENO bags with backpack straps.  Surge protectors - 2 ten-foot ones should cover most setups, but it really depends on outlet count, outlet locations, and how many things need to be plugged in at once. There will be a lot. Be sure to understand any rules your dorm may have about limitations or UL requirements before you purchase.
