Every braider you look up to started somewhere. For me it was a living room, a kitchen chair, and parts that weren’t straight yet. 🙈 Those early braids weren’t perfect, but they were necessary. Every crooked part and every frizzy start taught my hands something. That’s how you get from “I started like this” to “now I do this.” So if you’re a beginner (or still just thinking about braiding): ✨ Your first braids don’t have to be pretty, they just have to get done. ✨ Comparing your day 1 to someone’s year 5 will steal your joy. ✨ Consistency beats talent every single time. ✨ Practice on mannequins, family, friends. Every head counts. I wish I’d had a clear roadmap when I was starting out instead of figuring it all out the hard way. That’s why I created my self-led braid course: so you can learn the foundations at your own pace, from wherever you are, and build confidence one braid at a time. 🤎 If you’ve been waiting for a sign to start, this is it. Comment “BRAID” to learn more. #thebraiddoctor #dallasbraider #LearnToBraid #ProgressNotPerfection #BraidTutorial

This is not beginner friendly The main things to consider are your grip, a good braid gel and patience. The reason I charge extra is bc working on short hair can lead to tendonitis and carpel tunnel, as well as twists but that’s another story. I hope this helps!!
