Whenever someone says, “You’re so lucky you got the good class this year...” I always find myself thinking the same thing: There really is no such thing as a “good class.” Because some of the calmest, most engaged classrooms I’ve seen weren’t filled with students who arrived on day one already knowing how to self-regulate, solve problems, and manage their emotions.
