Kahit 'yung turning the other cheek na akala natin ay pagpapabully, isa palang cultural counter-move. #tedstimony #JesusIsKing #BiblicalWisdom #GospelTruth #ChristianLeadership
The Blueprint of a Godly Marriage I used to think the goal of marriage was finding the right person. I've realized the deeper question is... What kind of person am I becoming? Genesis 2 changed the way I look at marriage. When God said, “It is not good that the man should be alone,” I used to read that as, “Adam was lonely, so God gave him Eve.” But it’s bigger than that. Adam already had God, purpose, work, and a calling. Then God gave him Eve as a corresponding partner. Not someone to complete him, but someone who could walk with him under God. That made me rethink the whole “you complete me” idea. Romantic? Yes. Biblical? Not really. Only Christ can carry the weight of being our wholeness. Marriage isn't two people asking, “What can you do for me?” It’s two people learning to ask, “Who are we becoming, and how can we help each other follow Jesus?” And Genesis 2:24 makes it even deeper... leave, hold fast, become one flesh. Marriage isn't just adding someone to your life. It's forming a new life together. New priorities. New rhythms. New responsibilities. Eventually, even the family group chat needs to understand that there are now two people building one household. But then Genesis 3 happens. And suddenly we see what sin does to marriage... blame, hiding, fear, control, broken trust. Which made me realize something else... a lot of marriage problems are also worship problems. When money becomes ultimate, the marriage bends around money. When comfort becomes ultimate, sacrifice becomes offensive. When approval becomes ultimate, honesty becomes difficult. When control becomes ultimate, trust becomes impossible. So maybe the blueprint isn't simply... Man + Woman = Happiness. Maybe it's... Christ at the center. Covenant as the foundation. Sacrifice as the posture. Partnership as the rhythm. Formation as the process. Mission as the direction. Because marriage doesn't just reveal who we love. Sometimes, it reveals who we are. And that's not necessarily bad news. What God reveals, He can transform. So whether you're single, engaged, or married, maybe the better prayer isn't only, “Lord, give me the right person.” Maybe it's... “Lord, make me the kind of person who can faithfully love the person You entrust to me.” Because the goal isn't finding someone who makes life easier. It's becoming two people who, under Christ, make it easier for each other to follow Jesus. And when one stumbles, the other doesn't say, “I told you so.” It's more like... “Come on. Let's get back to Jesus.” #GodlyMarriage #ChristianMarriage #BiblicalMarriage #ChristCenteredMarriage #ChristianRelationships
