Today, the SF elections dept. announced that park opponents’ ballot measure to rip out Sunset Dunes will be on the November ballot. That means the campaign to save our beloved park starts right now. Let's be clear about what this measure would do. It would permanently close Sunset Dunes and demolish everything that makes it a park: the oceanview seating and picnic areas, the skate and bike park, the fitness equipment, the hammocks. It would also kill weekday access, when 60% of park visits happen.  (And it would cost taxpayers over $14 million, according to city agencies.) Here's how you can help: 💵Donate. Even $5 helps us get a window sign up or a flyer in someone's hand. Link in vio 📢 Spread the word. Share this with someone who loves the park, and talk to the people in your life about what this measure would destroy. 👥 Show up. Keep an eye out for our volunteer kickoff event. We want to see you there. Sunset Dunes belongs to all of us, and it’s not going anywhere. Together, we’re going to make sure of that.
