Due to the events last night between Iran & Israel, Iraq has closed its airspace to all flights until further notice. This comes as tensions rise between the Zionist entity & the Iranian regime over their nuclear programme. 100s of strikes have been launched targeting various facilities In Iran, many even seen flying over Iraqi airspace captured by people on the ground. I pray & hope everyone is able to stay safe during this volatile period of time. #iraq #iran #israel #iraq_bd #iraqitiktok #العراق #baghdad #basra #erbil #duhok #mosul #iraq #iran #palestine #arabtiktok

Meet the descendants of the world’s first civilisation, still living in ancient reed houses, navigating ancient canals, and chanting to water buffalo & cattle like their ancestors did 8,000 years ago. Oxford university’s Wilfred Thesiger called them “the most hospitable people he ever met.” Famous assyriologist & the father of Sumerian studies, Samuel Noah Kramer saw in their world echoes of Ur, Eridu, and the sacred cities of Sumer. And today, Abu Haider stands among the last marsh Arabs - a human relic of a civilisation that refuses to die.
