Story Time: I had a blue dress a lot like this in my youth and the Mormon church I was stuck in shamed me for wearing it because you could see my shoulders and it apparently upset men with the self control of a toddler. Because apparently women just existing were to blame for their lack of self control. So I ended up giving it away. A little while ago I found this and had to buy it immediately because it reminded me of that dress. Now I wear this one with joy and am actively healing my inner teen with every joyful wear and embracement of the “my body is not a sin for existing so go f yourself” mentality. It’s not my usual goth wear, but sometimes it’s mood.
