not expecting to be raising any more moths now til next Spring 🌸, so here's a lil roundup of the species i've been blessed with in 2026! 🦋🌿 probably my toughest year raising - lots of losses due to our sudden heatwaves and the effects it had on the insects and also the foodplants. there's some comfort knowing my other breeder friends went through similar struggles, but it's still sad! 😟🐛 there's several species sleeping now for the Winter so it will be lovely to show them all to you next year 🤗 even the 200+ Puss moths (what the heck was I thinking hahahha) ✨ - #moths #entomology #insects #amazinganimals #lepidoptera

so I know I said no more moths before next year 🫢 ... buuutt death's-heads are basically my whole reason for loving insects SO when the lovely Amber needed to offload some pupae I was grateful to help. ✨ she also sent me lots of lovely nature stickers, a bookmark and a cute stickbug picture! thankyou so much darling. 🌿 these gorgeous pupae are wiggly and healthy and I can't wait to see the adults! depending on how cold it gets over the next couple of weeks they may overwinter but hopefully not. 💛 #deathsheadmoth #entomology #insectsworld #moths #natureisamazing

adore a before & after of the setting boards! ✨ needed to replenish my bounty of big ol' blue butterflies alongside some gorgeous pearlys and rainbows. 🌈 focused on a few at the end. 😙🦋 close-ups: prola beauty & pink forester / lorquinianus swallowtail / forest mother-of-pearl / madagascan sunset moth 🌷 #entomology #insects #bugtok #butterflies #insectart
