It's been a bit since I shared progress son this build. Xerneas has been such a labor of love and I'd hate to rush anything on this beauty. I fully redesigned the antlers from my original attempt to slot together for added strength. Then printed them with my @Creality official K2Plus as its large build size was perfect for these massive antlers. From there I glued it together using JB Weld plastic bonder, and started the tedious process of sanding everything. These antlers were "gradient sanded" to be smoothest at the tips, and rougher the lower you went to emulate rubbing them on trees and branches. After the first sand, I applied Feather Fill with my spray gun to fill any low spots and help really smooth the top. Then sanded once more. So much sanding. To attach them to my head I've been using tricks from wig makers who do very complex styles and designed a metal head wrap that holds it all together. Once I have things finalized it needs padding and to be added under the wig.
