my best friend. i wish you could live forever. An Unexpected surprise when miss lucy entered my life. As a 14 year old teenager who was shy, just starting a new school and first year of highschool it was really hard to make new friends. I was depressed, anxious and lonely. I shut myself away in my room and isolated myself from my family and the world. My mother showed up one spring day with lizard rescued. I didn’t know what to do with a reptile. I barely knew how to properly take care of myself. However I did my research, learned and fell in love with her species. With her Tank being in my room all the time we spent a lot of time with each other. Witnessing each other grow as time passes each year and phase of my life. I told lucy every teenage drama that was going on, every fu-k up and cry’s, every celebration and told her about even the lame times. Teenage drama turned into adult problems and fu-k ups turned into life lessons. We moved from house to house, city to country , and land to land. The adventures we went on ( quite a few for a lizard ) I’ll cherish and never forget. Lucy you cured many peoples fear of reptiles and you had the most gentle soul. The best old lady lizard in the world and a part of me is happy knowing you passed away with a smile on your face :’) i loved and will continue to love you forever my lucy .
