✨Middle Eastern Rice✨ I always get asked how I make my “rice with the noodles” so here it is 🤩 Non stick, fluffy rice, with lightly toasted vermicelli noodles, is the way every middle eastern household grew up. It was and is, the main side to all home cooked traditional meals that we know and love. People are scared to make rice and find it extremely difficult, my method is so simple and easy. I’ve never used a rice cooker in my life, I’ve used this exact recipe the way my mother taught me every single time and it’s never failed (actually I lie, if she found out I lifted the lid before the rice was finished she would DISOWN me 🤣🤣) Let me know if you give my technique a go. Recipe by @snippetsofmona ⤵️ Ingredients: 2 cups medium grain rice 2 nests vermicelli noodles @sanremopasta 3 cups boiling water 1 tbs salt Method: 1. Wash the rice about 3 times until the water runs clear. Soak the rice for approx 30mins and then drain. 2. In a pot drizzle some oil enough to cover the base, crush the vermicelli noodles and toast until golden. Keep an eye on this as it will brown fast. 3. Add in the rice and salt, mix well and continue stirring until the rice starts to feel slightly tougher to stir and it starts to clump together. Should take only a few minutes. 4. Add the boiling water to the pot and bring to a rapid boil. Drop the heat to the lowest setting and place the lid on. 5. Cook for approx 8-10 mins and then fluff with a fork lightly. Place the lid back on and cook for a further 3 mins. 6. Turn the heat off and allow the rice to rest for about 10 mins with the lid on. Rule of thumb: For every 1 cup rice = 1.5 cups of boiling water For every 1 cup rice = 1 vermicelli nest Optional: sometimes I like to add a cube of chicken stock instead of salt, or half water half bone broth. If you make this type of rice, what is your background? #pilaf #middleeasternfood #ricerecipe #vermicelli #lebanesefood

Sorry to all the businesses that claim their sauce is the Raising Canes dupe! You’re not even close!!! The new KFC liquid gold sauce is the closest thing, if not THE EXACT tasting sauce! Peppery, creamy, slightly tangy and so good. Just like Raising Canes in the States. You’re welcome! @kfcaustralia @Raising Cane's #fyp #kfc #raisingcanes #fingerlickinggood #friedchicken
