It’s only been a few months, but I finally have a bed and a room to put it in. A Murphy bed would have been ideal, but the truth is, they are so expensive. Given how small this room is, I’m surprised one wasn’t already built in to begin with. I’m so glad to not be sleeping on the couch anymore. This solution will absolutely keep me accountable for tidying up, because there is no way I can open the couch up if the room is messy. I couldn’t go another week without a coffee table and end table. These were so cheap that I was more than happy to take them on, even if just as placeholders. With a tiny bit of paint, they cleaned up nicely. Now, I’m thinking they might be worth keeping even longer if I do something with the tops. Just a few months into solo homeownership and the livingroom is done for now. In the future, I think I would add a little more sugar to cut down on the tartness, but overall, the flavor is there for me. The SewRena scarf is back in stock as a 100% cotton bandana. This design is much better suited for work, but it can be styled beautifully as well. We all know cotton is durable, breathable, and what I would call a utility fabric. When I was learning how to weld, it was brought to my attention that a satin scarf was probably not the safest accessory for the job, so that inspired this bandana. You all asked for another colorway, and I released the red and black just in time for autumn. I’m not saying you have to look good when you work, but looking a mess isn’t a requirement either. The good, the bad, and the ugly! I’ve been avoiding sharing this room because I truly did not know how to share the mess it became. As the other rooms started to look nicer, this room only appeared worse. However, this is my reality right now. I went from a living-room-sized studio in a basement to combining the contents of a large space with a tiny bedroom. I can hardly think in this space, let alone create. As it sits, it’s neither a bedroom nor a sewing room; it doesn’t function as anything, so I will ultimately have to accept the space for what it is and choose one. #sewrena #vintage #vintagehouse #homemakeover #cleaning

Sewing rooms are rarely neat; even when I had a massive one, it still got messy. However, when the space is small, it feels like the walls are closing in, and I can’t function or work!
