In October '24 I received my Elphaba Act Two cosplay commissioned by Molly Nguyen Designs. Spending so much money on a cosplay is absolutely not my normal, but this had been one of my dream cosplays so I went ahead, viewing it as a business investment because the Wicked Movie was being released. Unfortunately, there were a number of issues with this cosplay, which I pointed out to Molly and although she accepted that she had made the skirt 20cm too long, she was refusing to admit fault at the fact that the sizing and colour of the top were incorrect. Trying to get her to accept my complaint was incredibly stressful and I wound up becoming too overwhelmed and upset by the whole situation to continue pursuing a resolution, with each email from her causing a panic attack. Although really upset, with the Wicked Movie coming out I felt I had no choice so I did force myself to perform using the cosplay, both on livestreams & in short form videos. After all, I'd spent so much money on it with the view to the costume being a business investment, but it was honestly a soul-destroying experience with people constantly commenting on how wrong the colour was, and how bad the costume looked. After the initial hype from the Wicked Movie had calmed down, I put it away and couldn’t bring myself to look at it for a good six months. I have a traumatic brain injury and my mental health (anxiety & depression) can be triggered incredibly easily, and the upset over this cosplay was too much for me to cope with. Since then, I’ve had to watch Molly Nguyen posting countless, beautiful Wicked-inspired pieces on her social media (BTW - how come if it was as perfect as she insisted why didn’t my brown top with its felt-pen drawn-on detailing make her advertising cut!?), and every time I see a new commission of hers being shown off, it hurts like a slap in the face because I’m just so devastated that after spending so much money (£1,000) mine doesn’t look anything like it was supposed to. I was contacted by Molly Nguyen very recently (after filming this video, but before I’d posted it) and only then because she had received some negative comments on her social media from people standing up for me about how poor quality both this costume and her customer service was. She is still unwilling to accept fault with regard to the colouring, but HAS now offered to alter the size. Unfortunately, changing just the size doesn’t help me because visually it would still look incorrect with the colour and other overall quality issues so I have refused this. I have requested that Molly Nguyen provide a partial refund to compensate for the fact that I’m having to pay to have the top remade elsewhere, but have yet to get a response from her. I’ve now heard from other people that they’ve had this issue with Molly’s work, where her initial samples of a cosplay were beautiful, but later reproductions weren’t made to anywhere close to the same quality, and with wildly incorrect sizing too! I’ve decided to post this video now to make others aware, so they at least might think twice before ordering anything from her. Unfortunately, what you see in her advertising might well not be what you get. #elphabacosplay #wicked #wickedthemusical #elphaba #elphabadress #cosplaycommunity

I’ll be live-streaming from Saturday Feb 8th at 9pm GMT exclusively from my new dedicated singing account @sarahsingsuk and will continue with the same schedule we’ve had here: Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays 9-11pm. I apologise that this video is so long but I hope it makes sense and explains why I’ve made this decision. I’m taking the fortnight break from streaming to allow myself time to organise the changeover as there’s lots to sort out behind the scenes. If you have a paid subscription to my livestreams, please make sure to cancel it and I’d love if you resubscribed on the new account once we’re eligible for subs. I’m so sorry to anyone who had built up team member points too! I truly wish I wasn’t having to start over but we’ve truly tried everything as a community already, and I’m hopeful that this will make a big, positive, difference in the long run - which will hopefully mean that I can continue live-streaming as a career. I appreciate your support and kindness more than I could possibly explain and look forward to entering this new chapter together! Please join my Discord to keep in touch too! 💜✨ #tiktoklivemusic #musicaltheatresinger #tiktoklive #announcement #livestreamer #ttlive

Today is the 7 year anniversary since my brain injury, an incredibly difficult date that I find myself dreading every single year. The grief at what my life could’ve been and where I’d hoped to be weighs down incredibly hard and it’s hard not to get lost in the negative feelings. But i’m really hoping I can force myself to feel better this year by showing this brain injury that i’m a warrior and that I wont let it dictate my whole life anymore. I’ve taught myself to sing again, and as that’s what brings me the most joy in the world, performing is what I want to be doing tonight. And I really hope you’ll join me for moral support on my livestream this evening (Monday 14th) at 9pm BST. I’ll be dressed as Belle, singing Disney songs. My favourite character and genre of music. Disclaimer: This is a video I filmed a few years ago and i’ve not re-recorded it because A) this information is incredibly hard to put together and get across, particularly when you have a brain injury and B) it shows what i’ve been through and how i’ve progressed. I have, thankfully, made improvments in the last few years but a lot of these issues do still remain and i’ve had to learn to adapt and live within my limitations - even though i’m often left incredibly frustrated by them. To those of you who always support me, I’m endlessly grateful to you. Your support keeps me going. 💜 #braininjurysurvivor #postconcussionsyndrome #spoonielife #braininjury #invisibleillness #chronicdisabilty #mentalhealth #braininjuryawareness #tiktokliveuk
