The transition from car to supermarket can feel like a HUGE thing when you’re parenting a neurodivergent child. 🫶 Sometimes we sit in the car for as long as possible, mentally preparing for what’s ahead the noise, the lights, the people, the unpredictability… and the possibility that the whole trip might feel overwhelming. It’s not “just going into the supermarket.” For some SEND families, it takes planning, patience, flexibility and a whole lot of emotional energy.
