🧪 MAGNESIUM TIP FOR REEF TANKS 🪸 If your magnesium is sitting around 1320, you may be holding your tank back 👀 ⬆️ Raising magnesium to ~1450 ppm can help: ✅ Keep alkalinity & calcium more stable ✅ Reduce nuisance algae by slowing calcification on rock ✅ Improve coral growth & coloration ✅ Prevent calcium from falling out of solution Magnesium acts like the buffer behind the buffer. When it’s low, everything else becomes harder to control. 📌 Pro tip: Raise magnesium slowly (no more than 50–100 ppm per day). Stability > speed. #reeftank #saltwateraquarium #reefkeeping #magnesium #reefaquarium
