I bought a DEAD Tesla at Auction for $2,000 and I'm going to see how much it will take to get it to work again #teslamodels #tesla #rebuild

Last time I went to the Porsche dealer, they diagnosed my car as needing engine mounts and brakes when the real problem was that it was completely out of time. So when we found timing trouble codes in my latest twin-turbo Porsche project, I figured taking it to the dealer for a $400 cabin air filter and a $350 induction service probably wouldn't help it out So we used the GEARWRENCH GWSMART05 5" Handheld Bi-Directional Diagnostic Tool live data which pointed to a timing irregularity between the two banks. For anyone getting into vehicle diagnostics, this thing makes SO much sense. It's budget-friendly, has FREE lifetime updates, and can do a whole lot more than just read codes.  Replacing our timing solenoids was the natural first step, but reaching them is a bit tricky… which is where the 41-piece GEARWRENCH Insert Bit Set came in. The bits fit right into a ratcheting wrench to make an extremely low-profile setup for spots where a normal ratchet just isn’t happening. A few tools, a $35 replacement solenoid, about 10 minutes of work, and the Porsche runs right again. At the dealer, $35 probably wouldn’t even buy you a trip to the bathroom.
