🌊 Dillon Beach has always been one of my favorite spots. I grew up visiting each year with my family. It was super nostalgic and magical to bring my own family back and have @DillonBeachresort host us. #DillonBeachResortPartner 📍Located near Tomales Bay - About 2–2.5 hours from Sacramento 1.5 hours North of San Francisco The drive is stunning, through rolling hills and farmland. (It’s part of the experience!) 🐾 Dillon Beach is one of the most popular dog beaches in Northern California because dogs are allowed to roam off-leash. With calm waves and a wide, sandy beach that stretches for miles it makes for the perfect kid-friendly beach too! 🏠Our family stayed in one of the Coho Cottages. It had the most amazing view of the beach! With plenty of space for our family of six to sleep in. 🍦There is a General Store and surf shop, just steps away from the cottages. How to Spend a Day in Sausalito with Kids First stop: @Bay Area Discovery Museum One of the BEST places to take kids, with hands-on exhibits, outdoor play areas, and incredible views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Plan to spend a few hours here exploring. Golden Gate Bridge views + lunch The Golden Gate Bridge is literally right outside the museum! Pack a lunch and enjoy a picnic while taking in the scenery. Rodeo Beach Drive through the cool one-way tunnel on your way to Rodeo Beach. Let the kids play in the sand and splash in the waves. Hawk Hill Take the scenic route back to Sausalito along Conzelman Road. The sweeping, 360-degree views of the Golden Gate Bridge and Bay are incredible, there are plenty of spots to pull over for photos. Bridgeway Waterfront Stroll along the waterfront, watch the boats, enjoy the views, and grab an ice cream from Lappert’s. Sausalito Floating Homes Take a walk through the colorful houseboat community and see one of the most unique neighborhoods in the Bay Area. Super Duper Burgers On your way back to Sacramento, stop at this yummy, family-friendly burger spot known for its delicious burgers and homemade pickles. The perfect way to end the day!
