Welp, it's time. Due to the recent US policy changes, I've decided not to post on here anymore. There's a lot I've been willing to compromise on, but this threatens my safety and the safety of those I love, and unless there's a dramatic change I don't think I'll be coming back. It took me a while to make this bc I didn't want it to be finalized. This is my biggest platform and where I met my dearest friends. That being said, this isn't goodbye! ///VENT/// I have not been feeling good. Long story short, I trusted someone I shouldn't have, and someone I love dearly got hurt because of it. They don't blame me for it, but I'm still upset with myself. However, once word got to my older sister, she and I got in an argument. She said some things that, frankly, I probably deserved - but she also said a lot more hurtful things that I didn't. Tired of her talking to me like this, I responded in kind for the first time in years - which was a mistake. The longer we went back and forth, the worse it got, and at some point I was barely able to get a word in edgewise because she was too busy explaining what a horrible person she thought I was. I couldn't take it anymore, so I hung up and blocked her. So now out of 9 immediate family members (13 if you count in-laws), we're down to 3 who will deign to speak to me (two siblings who don't speak to each other, and my mom). Hearing what my sister really thought about me really hurt and set me on one of the worst depression lows of my life; I had to be on call with my friends or my mom constantly because I was scared of what I might do if I were left alone. I genuinely felt that the price of my continued existence was too steep for those I loved to keep paying. After the care of my amazing friends and some words of wisdom from my mom (for those who know her - I know, I was surprised too), I'm finally starting to feel better and like maybe I'm not a piece of human garbage, as long as I learn from my mistakes, never let this kind of thing happen again, and grow from this.
