🫐🍇⚡ Today’s Review: Lucky Energy — Bodacious Berry ⚡🍇🫐 @Lucky Energy First time trying Lucky Energy, AND we’re kicking things off with their Bodacious Berry flavor! Flavor-wise, this one is a bit of a mixed bag. Initially, there’s a pretty enjoyable combination of raspberry, blueberry AND grape notes. It’s a pleasant mixed berry profile, but the flavor itself is relatively mild. And unfortunately, that’s where things start to fall apart a little. There’s a noticeable underlying bitterness throughout the drinking experience. It’s not particularly aggressive, but because the berry flavor is so subdued, that bitterness becomes much more apparent than I’d like. With a bolder, more saturated berry profile, I suspect it would be considerably less noticeable. As it stands, though, it detracts from an otherwise decent flavor. Functionally, Lucky has some interesting ingredients in the mix. Alongside the caffeine, we’re getting taurine, beta-alanine, maca root AND Panax ginseng. I actually like that combination, but there’s a catch. We have absolutely no idea how much of anything we’re getting beyond the caffeine! Without disclosed dosages, it’s impossible to meaningfully evaluate how effective the rest of the formula might be. ⚡ Formula highlights: • 200mg caffeine • Taurine • Beta-alanine • Maca root • Panax ginseng • 0 calories • 0 sugar Overall, Bodacious Berry isn’t bad, but it isn’t particularly impressive either. The raspberry, blueberry AND grape combination is enjoyable initially, but the restrained flavor intensity allows that underlying bitterness to become a distraction. 🍪🍫 Today’s Review: Savoia Pastry Shoppe — Marble Cookie 🍫🍪 @Savoia Pastry Shoppe Continuing through my Savoia Pastry Shoppe reviews with their Marble Cookie, AND this one is a beautiful example of how sometimes simplicity is all you need! This is a classic shortbread cookie with a delicate swirl of cocoa running throughout, AND the execution is absolutely wonderful. Texture-wise, Savoia really nailed this one. The exterior has that lovely, light crispness you expect from a well-made shortbread, but as you bite into it, the cookie transitions into that signature tender, buttery texture that practically MELTS in your mouth. It’s delicate without being crumbly AND has that wonderfully satisfying shortbread consistency from beginning to end. Flavor-wise, everything is very restrained. The shortbread itself is lightly sweet with that classic buttery character, while the cocoa swirl adds just a subtle hint of chocolate throughout. There’s nothing bold or particularly intense here, AND that’s really the beauty of it. The flavors are simple, balanced AND understated, allowing the quality of the cookie itself to shine through. This isn’t a cookie that’s trying to overwhelm you with sweetness, chocolate OR elaborate toppings. It’s just a beautifully executed, traditional shortbread with a little cocoa character. 🍪🍇 Today’s Review: Savoia Pastry Shoppe — Oatmeal Raisin Cookie 🍇🍪 @Savoia Pastry Shoppe Continuing through my Savoia Pastry Shoppe reviews with their Oatmeal Raisin Cookie, AND this one is an absolutely EXCEPTIONAL example of a traditional bakery classic! Right away, the texture is fantastic. The cookie is wonderfully soft AND chewy throughout, but still has that hearty, substantial bite that makes a great oatmeal cookie so satisfying. There’s just enough structure from the oats to give it some character without sacrificing any of that beautiful tenderness. And the flavor is equally impressive! You get a wonderful combination of warm cinnamon, rich molasses AND sweet brown sugar, all working together to create that deep, comforting flavor profile that defines a truly great old-fashioned oatmeal cookie. The balance is absolutely spot on. The cinnamon provides a lovely warmth, while the molasses AND brown sugar bring richness, depth AND just the right amount of sweetness. And then there are the raisins! Savoia is NOT stingy with them. There’s an abundant amount distributed throughout the cookie, delivering little bursts of fruity sweetness AND extra chewiness in practically every bite. Everything comes together beautifully. Soft, chewy, hearty AND packed with classic oatmeal raisin flavor, this is exactly what I want from a traditional bakery oatmeal cookie. Nothing fancy or reinvented here, just a timeless classic executed EXTREMELY well!
