even though the inspo pic requires more than what you booked for I’m still willing to do what you want! 😭 Changing the acrylic shade during a rebalance means I have to remove more of the existing product to get the look you want… which means more time + more work. So yes, there’s an upcharge 😂 Do you think $10 to change the acrylic color during a rebalance is fair? 👀👇🏾 #NailTech #NailTechTalk #NailClients #NailTok #houstonnailtech

This conversation was never really about $10. It’s about how often beauty professionals are expected to absorb the cost of doing business just to keep everybody else comfortable. The extra time? Eat it. The extra product? Eat it. The late cancellation? Take the loss. The wear and tear on your body? Figure it out. Need a day off? Don’t get paid. Need health insurance, dental, retirement, PTO? Pay for that yourself too. And somehow, charging an extra $10 when a service requires more time, labor or product is where people draw the line? That mindset is exactly why so many talented beauty professionals eventually burn out. Because resentment doesn’t always start with a “bad client.” Sometimes it starts when you’ve built a business where everybody benefits from your flexibility except YOU. You keep saying “it’s only $10.” “It’s only 15 extra minutes.” “It’s not worth saying anything.” “I don’t want to lose a client.” Until you realize you’ve spent years making exceptions at your own expense. There’s a difference between providing great customer service and running a business that requires you to constantly overextend yourself to keep people happy. The goal isn’t just to stay booked. The goal is to structure a business that is profitable, sustainable AND still allows you to love what you do years from now. Because being booked means nothing if the way you’re running your business is burning you out. If you’re a beauty professional who needs help structuring your business so it actually makes sense financially, operationally, and long term, comment “STRUCTURE” and I’ll send you more information on how I can help. 💅🏾 #BeautyBusiness #BeautyProfessional #NailTech #ServiceProvider #BeautyIndustry
