Every number represents a baby. A baby who was loved. A baby whose existence changed a family. A baby whose tiny life became part of a story that will always matter. Some of those babies were known for only a short time. Others were carried for many months. But every single one of them existed. Every single one of them was loved. And every single one of them matters. No matter what gestation your baby existed, your baby matters. 🤍 How many weeks were you when you lost your baby? We would be honored to remember all of those precious little lives with you today. #projectrobby #pregnancyandinfantlossawareness

This is an old video, but October felt like the right time to share it again. Sometimes I wonder what I would tell the version of myself who had just lost Robby if I could sit beside her for a few minutes. I wish I could tell her that somehow, she is going to survive this. That there will be joy again, even when she can't imagine ever feeling it. That loving the life ahead of her will never mean loving or missing him any less. And that the little blue hat he wore would become the beginning of something she never could have imagined. More than fourteen years later, I can look back and see just how much life has happened since that day. But moving forward never meant leaving Robby behind. I think that is something so many families who have lost a baby understand. Life continues, and somehow we learn to carry them with us into every part of the life that comes after. 💙 No matter what gestation your baby existed, your baby matters. 💙 #projectrobby #pregnancyandinfantlossawareness

When a baby is born, everyone wants to know about them. We ask their name. We want to see pictures. We celebrate their arrival and talk about all the wonderful things that lie ahead. But when a baby dies, something changes. People don't always know what to say. They become uncomfortable. Sometimes, they avoid talking about the baby altogether because they're afraid of making the parents sad. But what I wish more people understood is that we're already sad. We already miss our babies. And not talking about them doesn't make that grief go away. Our babies were here. They were loved. They were part of our families, and their lives deserve to be acknowledged, too. That's part of why Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month matters so much. It's an opportunity to help others understand that while talking about a baby who has died may be uncomfortable, the silence can be even more painful. We don't expect anyone to have the perfect words. Sometimes, simply acknowledging that our babies existed, that they were loved, and that they are still remembered means more than you could ever know. 💙 No matter what gestation your baby existed, your baby matters. #projectrobby #pregnancyandinfantlossawareness
