My dad, Babak, was diagnosed with ALS in February 2025. For those who aren’t aware of it, it’s a rare, paralyzing disease without a cure or good treatment. Pretty much, it’s cooked. Life expectancy is only a few years, and its discourse is cruel and debilitating. Needless to say, my family has endured a great deal since the diagnosis as my dad’s conditions slowly gets worsens. From the perspective of being his son, it kills me that there’s nothing I can do to help him survive. I wanna help, but I genuinely can’t. I’m forced to accept it, and it’s all I think about. So I made this video for him. This fundraiser is inspired by him. It’s my way of saying thank you for all he’s done in my life and showing love before he’s gone.
