PREPPING 101: BULKING YOUR PANTRY  Bulking your pantry doesn’t mean buying random buckets of food you’ll never eat. It means building up a supply of exactly what your family already uses…on purpose, over time. Start with what’s already on your grocery list. Think peanut butter, pasta, canned veggies, crackers-whatever your household eats regularly. Then do a little math: If your family uses 1 jar of peanut butter a week, and peanut butter best if used by date is a year, then a fully stocked pantry for that item means 52 jars. Then buy your normal one jar a week after you’re stocked up. Use from the front, and put the new one in the back. That’s it. Same with pasta. If you use 2 boxes a week, a one-year supply is 104 boxes. Buy a little extra when you can.
