the BEST surprise at check in 🐘💕 before our game drives on our safari trip even started, we checked into our absolutely exquisite tent at Sasaab Lodge in Samburu, Kenya and watched as an entire family of elephants walked right to the river in front of us! this was our first time ever seeing elephants in the wild and it was truly so magical. we sat on the deck of our tent and watched the elephants play in the water for hours until our first evening game drive…spoiler alert, we saw even more elephants later on! 😉 I’ll be sharing more about our experience at Sasaab Lodge soon but it was nothing short of amazing and we feel so privileged to be able to explore Samburu National Reserve, an underrated safari destination in Northern Kenya!
