I started cosplaying about a year and a half ago, since then I’ve met so many kind and wonderful people who changed my world for the better when I was at my lowest. I had no friends or community when I moved here, spent my summer entirely alone with only online friends to keep me company and feeling like an outcast at school, then in October of 2023 I was fortunate enough to go to the last day of McM and I haven’t looked back since. The community isnt perfect, but I don’t know where I’d be without it, and for that I have to say thank you. Thank you to my friends who have become my second family, Thank you to the people who agreed to take photos with me or asked me for photos, Thank you to my mutuals wether we’ve shared words or not, thank you to the cosplayers I’ve looked up to long before I got into the hobby myself and thank you to the oldest of us, who were the start of this community a lot have grown to love. Im going to try and tag as many people as possible but I know for a fact I don’t have everyone’s socials, so if you’re in this and not tagged feel free to tell me!
