After 7 years of creating content, this is probably the biggest lesson social media has taught me. I started making content when I was just 13 years old. Now I’m 20, and if there’s one thing I wish I could tell my younger self, it’s this: Don’t listen to the haters. People are going to hate on you just to hate on you. It doesn’t matter what you post, what you say, what you drive, what you create, or how much effort you put into it. There will always be someone who has something negative to say. And honestly? That’s okay. You’re never going to make everyone happy. The only thing you can control is whether you’re happy with what you’re creating. Keep making the videos you enjoy. Keep being yourself. Keep creating even when the numbers aren’t where you want them to be. Because eventually, the right people will find you. 7 years of social media and content creation has taught me that being yourself will always be more valuable than trying to please everyone.
