LOS ANGELES PODCASTER LUCKY FROM HOODSTOCKS SPEAKS ON GIVING NORTENOS A PLATFORM⁉️🤯 Los Angeles podcaster Lucky from HoodStocks says he would welcome Norteno guests onto his platform and show them nothing but respect, stating, “We’re the same, just on the other side of the coin.” Could this potentially open the door to bridging the gap between both sides and creating new opportunities? Bringing different sides together through media and music could introduce new audiences, build connections, create business opportunities, and generate more revenue for everyone involved. Whether it’s the music industry, the blogging and podcasting scene, or business in general, building connections across different communities could create opportunities for both sides to grow even bigger. Could this be a step toward more unity and bigger opportunities within the California rap scene, but what are your thoughts?! #fyp #sacramento #nojumper #losangeles #bayarea

Richmond rapper WeezGotti has pleaded guilty to being a felon in possession of a firearm and is asking a federal judge for a 3-year prison sentence. Federal prosecutors, however, are seeking 4 years and 3 months, pointing to his criminal history and lyrics they say reference murder. In a letter to the judge, WeezGotti argues that his upbringing, exposure to violence and personal experiences have shaped both his life and music. The rapper says he has lost loved ones to violence and has been shot twice himself. He also argues that his lyrics should not automatically be interpreted as literal admissions, stating that his music is built around an image rather than necessarily reflecting the truth. WeezGotti further claims that violent themes are often what sell in rap and argues that hip-hop artists face a different standard than performers in other genres. The Richmond rapper also says his music career has made him a bigger target in his hometown and that he hopes to relocate out of state after serving his sentence. He describes music as a therapeutic outlet that allows him to support his family, saying he wants to move away from his past image and build a safer future. Meanwhile, Bay Area authorities have reportedly named WeezGotti as a person of interest in multiple homicide investigations. He has not been charged in those cases. He also has a pending car burglary case in Alameda County. WeezGotti is scheduled to be sentenced next week, where the judge will determine his prison term. #richmond #fyp #oakland #foryoupage #bayarea
