this is how my artistic journey began. Before creating hyperrealistic beaded portraits, I experimented with charcoal drawing, ink illustration, mixed-media art and embroidery. I kept exploring different materials and techniques until I found my own way to capture faces: micro-bead embroidery, transforming thousands of tiny beads into wearable art. Today, I create handmade beaded portrait brooches inspired by cultural icons, combining portraiture, craftsmanship and contemporary wearable art. The medium changed. My fascination with faces never did. ❤️ And this is still just one chapter of my artistic journey. What would you tell your younger artist self? #BeadEmbroidery #WearableArt #BeadedArt #PortraitArtist #HandmadeInItaly

@Michael Jackson It’s officially Thriller season. 🎃 And after creating my beaded portrait of Michael Jackson in his iconic red-and-black Thriller look, it was only right to bring the next chapter to life: the zombie transformation. @michaeljackson’s Thriller was the very first album I ever owned. I remember getting Thriller 25 when it had just come out, and that album will always have a special place in my heart. ❤️ Now, years later, I’m turning one of the most iconic looks in music video history into wearable art, one tiny bead at a time. From the eerie green skin and wild curls to the unforgettable expression, every detail of this handmade beaded portrait was carefully recreated through bead embroidery. A little piece of music history, reimagined as textile art. To recreate this version, I studied the makeup in depth, paying close attention to the patient, meticulous hands of @bcorso in @michaelmovie and the incredible work of @farmercarla, whose curly zombie hairstyle helped bring this transformed character to life. Their attention to detail, texture and character was a huge source of inspiration for me. And, of course, this tribute also goes back to the original artists who created the unforgettable look in the Thriller short film. The makeup, hair, prosthetics, choreography and atmosphere were all extraordinary. Their work helped turn a music video into a cinematic experience and created one of the most iconic transformations in pop culture history. John Landis’s legendary short film was so much more than a music video. It was cinema. Every detail of Michael’s transformation continues to inspire artists across generations, including me. From my first Thriller album to this little beaded tribute, Michael’s art continues to inspire me. 🖤 Now tell me: are you team original Thriller Michael or team zombie Michael? 🧟‍♂️ And if you’re a lifelong MJ fan, what’s your favourite moment from the Thriller era? #MichaelJackson #Thriller #BeadEmbroidery #WearableArt #PopCultureArt @mjkingofstyleofficial
