I’ve been seeing this viral sea moss gel all over TikTok, True Sea Moss or something like that, and baby, I just wanted to show y’all how I make my OWN sea moss gel from scratch using sea moss sourced from St. Lucia! 🌊🍓🍍 And it’s QUICK, EASY, and doesn’t cost nearly as much as buying those little jars! I took y’all through the steps, starting with dried sea moss. First, you want to clean and soak your sea moss in water until it softens. I usually let mine soak anywhere from 6 to 36 hours, depending on how soft I want it. Then prepare your fruit! This time, I made three different flavors: STRAWBERRY, PINEAPPLE, and PEACH! 🍓🍍🍑 Blend your softened sea moss with water, starting with roughly equal amounts, then add your fruit of choice and a little more water as needed. Blend everything until it’s nice and smooth! Now here’s something IMPORTANT! You want your sea moss gel to still look a little thin or runny when you’re done blending because BABY, once it gets in that refrigerator, it’s going to THICKEN UP! 😂 If you make it too thick before refrigerating, you’re going to end up with something like Jell-O or butter! Pour it into your clean mason jars, refrigerate, and enjoy! And the best part? I spent around $40 on everything, including the dried sea moss, fruit, and water, and made multiple jars! I love being able to make my own plant-based foods and know exactly what ingredients I’m using. And baby, they say sea moss has 92 of the 102 or 105 minerals your body needs. That viral claim isn’t scientifically established, but try it for yourself. Sea moss does contain minerals, but the amounts vary.
