Trappist-1e, an exoplanet 40 light years away from earth and has a radius similar to earth but just a little smaller. This planet has been deemed the most potential habitable planet in the universe (other than earth). So theres chances you’ll find life or even intelligent life. #space #trappist #exoplanet #interstellar #science #habitable #earth #milkyway

Tres-2b is an exoplanet located about 750 light years away in the Constellation Draco. What makes it so special is that it reflects less than 1% of the light that hits it, making it darker than coal or black acrylic paint. The planet orbits very close to its parent star (just 3 million miles away) It completes one orbit in just 2.5 days. As a result, it contains extremely high temperatures that are about 1,100°C (2,000°F). #science #space #exoplanet #dark #interesting #interstellar #facts #scary #gasgiant

WASP-12b is a bizarre and extreme exoplanet located about 1,400 light-years away in the constellation Auriga. Classified as a “hot Jupiter,” it orbits its star at a blisteringly close distance, completing one orbit every 1.1 days, and reaching scorching temperatures of around 4,600°F (2,500°C)—hot enough to glow in infrared. Due to intense tidal forces from its star, it has an egg-like shape and is being torn apart, with its atmosphere rapidly stripped away to form a giant gas cloud around the system. It’ll be gone soon… #space #science #exoplanet #interstellar #interesting #facts #gasgiant #fire #cool
