Yall I was like 8 so take it easy. 😭 #fyp #fypシ #ijustwannadance #childhood

I was induced at exactly 38 weeks. At first, everything was going smoothly. Around 4 a.m., I was woken up to start Pitocin, and by 8 a.m., I had my epidural. It worked well for hours, and I truly thought everything was going according to plan. Then things changed. I started feeling what can only be described as a hot knife cutting across my uterus. They checked me, and I was only 8 centimeters dilated not ready to push. I don’t remember what time it was anymore. I just remember crying from the pain while the nurses tried repeatedly to get medication through my epidural. Every attempt came back with the same message: blockage. Eventually, they placed an FSE on Violet’s head because the monitor around my belly could no longer reliably track her heartbeat. That’s when the pain became unbearable. She was trying to come, but my body wasn’t ready. It felt like she was literally trying to tear her way out of me. Then the room changed. Someone said her heart rate had dropped into the 70s. My oxygen had fallen into the 80s. Suddenly, the words every mother fears were spoken: “Emergency C-section.” My heart sank. I remember crying, holding my breath, and begging God to let my baby live. I told Him that if one of us had to go, let it be me. As they rushed me into surgery, I was fully prepared to die for her. The next thing I remember is waking up and desperately asking if my baby was okay. Was she breathing? Was she alive? I was in tremendous pain, but none of it compared to what hurt the most: missing her first breath, her first cry, and the moment she opened her eyes to the world. While everyone else focused on my recovery, all I wanted was her. Violet Rae was born at 1:13 p.m. on March 2, 2026. In that moment, I was completely willing to die for her. Now, every day, I choose to live for her. If there’s one thing I want people to take away from my story, it’s this: do your research, understand the risks, and never assume a worst case scenario can’t happen to you. I thought that way too. Pregnancy and childbirth can be beautiful, but they can also change in an instant. You never think you’ll be the emergency until you are. #fyp #momtok #csectionmom #mom
